Description
Self replicating blue marble crayfish are pretty cool. They are all female, and they don’t need a mate for breeding. Once they are buried (carrying for eggs, getting ready to hatch) you can expect anywhere from 100-150 baby crayfish within a week.
The babies are a great source of food for those of you who have carnivore fish that require raw proteins. Some fish keepers keep a couple of theses crayfish in a tank on their own and let them reproduce to create a supply of food for their fish room.
Depending on the diet you feed your crayfish they can range from a medium brown and blue color all the way to a brighter blue. The more protein they eat the brighter blue they are.
